First-person shooter F2P platform FRVR acquires Krunker.io

After its $76 million fundraising round, casual gaming platform FRVR has expanded its game library by purchasing F2P first-person shooter title Krunker.io for an undisclosed sum.

Almost 200 million unique players have played Krunker since its inception in 2018, when it was created by the Swiss developer Sydney de Vries. In order to reach a larger worldwide audience, FRVR will seek to accelerate the expansion of Krunker.io's performance as a result of the acquisition.

A "transformational" alliance

"Krunker.io is an extremely excellent game with a great community of players," FRVR CEO Brian Meidell said in reference to the acquisition of the title. The Krunker team did a fantastic job making a top-notch game, and we look forward to working with them to advance it by using the platform, team, and publishing power of FRVR. FRVR was specifically designed for partnerships like this one.

Sidney de Vries, the creator of Krunker.io, continued, "We are really happy to join the FRVR family. They completely grasp our concept for Krunker, and we both agree that there is limitless potential in front of us.

As previously mentioned, FRVR recently raised $76 million in its most recent investment round, which was headed by Hiro Capital and included current investors Accel and Makers Fund.
